Jun 14 UPDATE: There was a 12-hour long deadlock with involved countries engaged in talks, after 97 migrants on board threatened the crew with riot, exposing knives or other objects.
The ship was about to continue voyage to Sousse Tunisia, and disembark migrants there, that having been the reason for unrest and indeed, seizure of the ship. Malta finally, succumbed and agreed to accept migrants. Malta’s CG or Navy ship took migrants on board and understood, transferred them to Malta. Crew said to be safe and uninjured. The ship reached Sousse on Jun 13.
Jun 13 UPDATE: Changed course late Jun 12, heading for Sousse Tunisia. As of 0620 UTC Jun 13 under way at cruise speed, ETA Sousse Jun 13.
Jun 12: General cargo ship UGUR DADAYLI was instructed or ordered by MRCC Malta to rescue distressed migrants east of Sfax, Tunisia, early in the morning Jun 12, reported Turkish maritime edition DenizHaber.
The ship, which left Sfax several hours earlier being bound for Sousse Tunisia, obeyed the order and picked up from boat some 100 migrants. MRCC Malta requested the ship to proceed to Tunisia and disembark migrants in Tunisian port. Understood there was (is) something of a riot among them, so Captain informed Malta, that the ship is proceeding to Malta, to dispose of migrants. Situation unfolding, awaiting updates. As of 1500 UTC Jun 12, the ship was under way sailing towards Malta.
