ONE container ship lost several dozen containers in Atlantic Jan 11 UPDATE

Jan 11 UPDATE: Confirmed it’s MADRID BRIDGE, highly probably number of lost containers is more than 30. Operator is ONE, ship’s serving East Coast 4 (EC4) loop.
Confirmed the ship has to proceed with utmost caution escaping rough weather, to
avoid further losses:
“Our immediate priorities are to ensure the safety of the crew, the
vessel and the cargo on board. Delays to the vessel’s
schedule are expected,” said ONE in a recent customer
advisory.
As of 0410 UTC Jan 11, MADRID BRIDGE was proceeding at reduced speed in
western direction after a long log in southern direction, apparently in order
to avoid unfavorable weather and keep on most safe course and speed.
Jan 8 UPDATE: Sailing almost due south at some 10 knots, ETA changed from 17 to
20 Jan, looking like she’s dodging storm ahead or having to keep most safe for deck container
stacks course and speed.
Jan 7: Understood
MADRID BRIDGE lost at least 30 containers
in North Atlantic while en route from Singapore to New York via Suez, see track screen. The ship was adrift from
Jan 2 until Jan 7, most probably waiting out scheduled arrival (Jan 17),
resumed sailing after containers loss (positions and time correlate with
position and time of spotted drifting containers).
Details of accident, number of collapsed, lost and damaged containers yet unknown.
