Brazil - Risk of Delays and Cargo Quality Issues from Late Soyabean Harvest
10/02/2021Industry News
Delays in the soyabean harvest in Brazil could lead to port congestion and concerns on cargo quality.
North’s correspondent in Paranagua – Kuhlmann Surveyors and Consultants – has warned of the huge logistical challenges brought by the late soyabean harvest, caused by the drought earlier in the season.
This has led to some vessels that were expecting to load cargo in January being delayed until February.
Furthermore, recent heavy rainfall has not only impacted the harvesting process but has also led to speculation about the loss of grain quality due to excessive moisture.
Kuhlmann Surveyors and Consultants’ notice “Delay in soybean harvesting – ports congestion, risk of demurrage and excess moisture” can be read here.(첨부참조)
