May 2 Alert: BERGE YOTEI (IMO 9866691) S Pacific NW of Magellan Strait, drifting since early May 2, from Argentina to Marsden Point New Zealand with cargo of soy, ETA May 22. May 3 Update: Under way since May 3, sailing to Chilean port.
May 5 UPDATE: The ship suffered fire and explosion early May 2, assumedly in a
cargo hold. She’s heading for
Talcahuano Chile, ETA May 6. As of 1230 UTC May 5, she was sailing at some 13.5
knots speed NW of Puerto Montt, Chile.
