CHINA: VESSELS ARRIVING WITH CREW MEMBERS TESTING POSITIVE FOR COVID-19
Published: August 20, 2020
Correspondents Oasis P&I have issued Circular No.: 2009,(첨부참조) outlining the measures taken by Chinese Authorities when a ship arrives at a port in China with crew members who have tested positive for COVID-19.
The local Customs Authority conducts COVID-19 tests during quarantine inspections of crew members who have signed on within the last 14 days, as well as other crew members whom they may consider to be relatively high risk, taking into consideration factors including the crew’s temperature record.
Crew members who test positive are transported to a designated hospital ashore for medical treatment and disinfection of the ship is arranged. After preventive measures have been undertaken to the satisfaction of the authorities, the vessel may be allowed to proceed with cargo operations or depart from the port.
In some ports however, the ship may be quarantined at anchorage for 14 days after disembarkation of the infected crew member(s) before being allowed to berth and start cargo operations.
