Maldives permits crew change operations through Male

In the wake of crew change crisis within shipping due to the COVID-19 travel restrictions, the Maldives is now open for all nationalities, while crew changes can be conducted through Male.
As informed, any crew who fly in to Maldives by air to join the vessel we must provide the following within 72 hours prior to their arrival to Male:
- Passport data page clear color copy
- Seaman book clear color copy
- Arrival flight Ticket copy
- Filled Travel History
- Filled individual health declaration
- PCR test Negative Result
Crew members leaving by air must provide their original passport prior to at least one day before departure and send the following 72 hours before their/vessel departure from Maldives. Without crew stamp out, the vessel will not be able to sail out.

All guests and crew must carry negative PCT test result, taken within 72 hours prior to their departure from destination.
Crew must also complete online form at https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv 24 hours prior to their departure. Crew must carry original seaman book with them.
Joining crews be given 7 days visa upon arrival. They must sign-on to their vessel within those 7 days to get 90 days visa from the date of arrival. Further, after signing off from the vessel a maximum of 7 days is allowed, within which to leave the country. Crew members cannot join their vessel after being stamped out.
