Container ship MSC MESSINA disabled by fire UPDATE Jun 27 on tow

Jun 27 0630 UTC: Under tow of offshore tug TC VIGOUR (IMO 9443530), escorted by container ship MSC DEILA (IMO 9461415), approaching Malacca Strait. 

Jun 26 0540 UTC: Understood still disabled, adrift, no AIS during last 22 hours as of 0540 UTC.

Jun 25: Container ship MSC MESSINA reportedly suffered fire in engine room in Indian ocean halfway between Sri Lanka and Malacca Strait, at around 1930 UTC Jun 24. The ship was disabled, and as of 0415 UTC Jun 25 remained disabled, adrift. She’s en route from Colombo Sri Lanka to Singapore.
