KLCSM (CEO Park Chan-min), a leading ship management company in Korea was awarded the Minister of Oceans

and Fisheries Award for his excellent evaluation in the field of Marine Safety Management on December 30, 2020.

​

KLCSM is in charge of overall ship management of the shipping division of SM Group (Chairman Woo Oh-hyun)

including Korea Line, SM Line, and Korea Shipping.

Since 2015, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries has designated and awarded excellent maritime safety businesses

that have contributed to improving the level of maritime safety management and reducing marine accidents.
It has selected excellent businesses according to the evaluation criteria of excellent

businesses such as low accident rate and safety management indicators over the past three years (2017-2019).

The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries designated the final excellent business operator based on

the evaluation and on-site inspection results for 81 ship safety management companies.

In 2020, KLCSM was selected as the second best maritime safety business operator

in the overseas transportation services category and awarded a reward along with the certificate 

of excellent business operators.

Park Chan-min, CEO of KLCSM said, "This is the result of consistent safety management efforts

with all of offshore employees and seafarers who contributed to prevent marine accidents.

Also he said we will continue to improve the level of safety management through change and innovation

aiming at safety operation without accidents as a leading company in the ship management industry.
